Targeted Reading Instruction (TRI) for Kindergarten
Targeted Reading Instruction (TRI) for Kindergarten is a research-based, small-group reading program for kindergarten students, addressing phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary development, and comprehension. The program includes 234 books: 12 high-intereste emergent book titles (6 copies of each), 26 Letter/Sound books (6 copies of each), and 6 engaging read-alouds that promote the development of early print concepts. This program also includes a complete curriculum with six weeks of teacher-ready lessons, multisensory literacy activities, and progress monitoring tools for effective small-group instruction. TRI is the perfect complement to any existing kindergarten core reading program; however it is also a suitable Tier II or Tier III intervention.
