Literature-Based Activities: Buzzy’s Flower Adventure kit supports early math skills development by drawing upon young children’s desire to hear the same story read multiple times. At each reading, the teacher can choose from a variety of math activities designed to support differentiated small-group instruction. Skills taught in this kit include matching, sorting, identifying numbers, counting, graphing, and using descriptive language such as color and positional words.
