RBD Interactive Tools is a collection of digital resources developed to support teachers of Reading by Design. These tools include the Reading Deck, Morpheme Deck, High Frequency Word Deck, and the What’s Missing Deck. Interventionists are able to create digital decks for student groups in lieu of card stock decks. Decks may be created, saved, and added to as students progress through the program. These decks may then be shown to students on a device for review. Another interactive tool in this collection is an alphabet arc with Elkonin boxes and counters for phoneme and spelling practice. Interventionists may select the number of boxes for this tool. Students may isolate phonemes with the Elkonin boxes and counters, then pull alphabet letters into the boxes to spell words. These tools also include the Word Randomizer which houses fluency probes for all lessons in Reading by Design. There is also an option to create a unique or individualized fluency probe with any chosen words.
